50th post

My 50th post is not really a post. I'm smack dab in the middle of finals. I promise you'll see the 5-6 shoots I've been dying to post on Thursday after my 2nd final. I'm trying to be a good, dedicated little student until then. Stand by.

I plead the fifth...

This is totally self-incriminating, but I'm going to share it anyway. I "modeled" for the fabulous nicole hill (love her) yesterday in her "wasted" shoot. I look sick nasty, but I guess that's the point. I'll attribute it to the makeup artist's fabulous work. I'm not going to tell you which one is me, and I hope you can't tell. :) Prepare for a good laugh.

Giving thanks, part 3 or 3: finale (food)

We were fortunate to be able to spend (the day after) thanksgiving (when we had our traditional meal) with both families together this year. That's the greatest thing about having my MIL move to SLC. It was late bc my dad and my SIL had to work here and here. My MIL made a fantastic meal & we ate way too much. but that's what thanksgiving's for, right?

Giving thanks. Part 2 of 3: ER

We spent Thanksgiving Day at the hospital. But none of us was sick or injured. My dad heads up the ER at a private hospital in slc. The ER doesn't close for holidays, so we've spend many a Christmas and Thanksgiving there. The cafeteria food wasn't all bad, and besides, I love seeing cute dad in his element.

and if my family tires of my incessant shutter-snapping, they can blame my dad. he's the one who's encouraged me in my photographic pursuits since passing down his 1970-nikkormat el when i was 15.

Giving thanks. Part 1 of 3: dessert

We started our Thanksgiving festivities the right way: with dessert, at a party with some of our awesome friends. Apple crisp, cookies, pb bars, ice cream . . . goodness.

Carmichael Family (Salt Lake Family Photographer)

How lovely are these little girls? I was so excited to shoot girls who were old enough to be "posable," although I still believe that the best shots are of them just being them! they were real troopers in the cold weather--the Capitol cast a shadow on our location, so it was extra chilly as the sun disappeared!

Matthews Family (Provo Family Photographer)

I realized I never posted the rest of this great family. Little Pierce was a riot and kept me moving! another brainiac family--mom & dad are law students. Pierce is destined for greatness. enjoy!

no, Les, you're not the only one who likes a little lens flare.
